Da Joisey Debbil

Da Joisey Debbil, originally uploaded by willceau.

Extreme close-up of a sketchbook drawing of my version of the legendary Jersey Devil I did way back in 1986. This monster is the subject of my posting over at Willceau Illo News. Check it out!

Shriek

Shriek, originally uploaded by willceau.

Another sketchbook scribble from the primordial past that was 1986. This was done in Kohinoor Rapidograph, and I think I had doing a shrieking vampire head in mind, but I don't really recall.

This ended up appearing in Brain Dead which was a punky fanzine circa the early to mid '90s.

My favorite new pen

My favorite new pen, originally uploaded by willceau.

It's a Faber-Castell big brush pen. It has a tapered, brush-like felt tip. I use the thinner ones and Pigma's version, but this feels great doodling with.

I know I should be practicing with my Wacom tablet, but I can't let these pens go!

Depth Charge

Chris Kalnick was kind enough to send me a copy of his Depth Charge comic. It's a beautifully designed mini-comic that fits into an A2 envelope. Supposedly we are in a post print age, but I really got a charge out of holding and reading this elegant little piece.

Check out the web version at CO2 Comics here.

While you're there, have a look around. There's a lot of fun stuff there brought to you by the fellows who started Comico. Go NOW!

Thanks Chris!
