Obsolete tools found in my art/tackle box used to rub down dry transfer type and burnish adhesive-backed tonal screens in the days before desktop publishing and digital design. The top one was a clay tool adapted for the purpose of transferring type and branded by a local art supply store. That actually worked better than the official Chartpak and Letraset burnishers.
